Hafitha Issa- News Anchor

Hafitha Issa is a 29-year-old graduate of Journalism and Communication from Makerere University Kampala. She attended our first training in August 2018.

Hafitha works as a freelance News Anchor at Foundation for Africa, a news agency in Kampala, Uganda. She reports on different issues with a bias on business and politics.

“Owning a camera has helped me enhance my camera skills since I have ample time to practice it. It has also added value to the articles I publish, and editors love articles with photos, as it tells the story better. The narrative of a photo which tells 1,000 words drives our newsrooms to have pictures to accompany the story.”

Below are some of the images Hafitha has taken during her time with Cameras For Girls, and she was also recently featured on the front page of KelbyOne magazine - see it here.
