Work With Us
Create Paid Opportunities For African Women in Media
Cameras For Girls trains young women in Uganda, Tanzania, and soon Kenya in photography, ethical storytelling, communications, and business skills.
But training alone is not enough.
To build financial freedom through their work, our students and graduates need paid opportunities, professional networks, fair pay, and organizations willing to open the door.
If you are a media house, NGO, company, foundation, university, or creative agency, there are several ways to work with us.
Testimonial
“My name is Sharon Kyatusiimire, a journalist and communications professional from Uganda. I have been part of Cameras For Girls since 2018, and I am proud to be one of the first women trained through the program. What has meant the most to me is that Cameras For Girls did not stop at training. Through The Creators, Amina created a pathway for graduates like me to connect with people who believe in our talent and are willing to invest in our growth.
That is how I met Tiffany.
What began as simple conversations about life, motherhood, and the challenges I was facing became a life-changing opportunity. Tiffany invited me to write weekly stories about life in Uganda for her series, Letters from Uganda. Through this work, I have been able to earn a fair and consistent income while telling stories that matter to me.
As a mother, having monthly income that arrives on time has brought stability to my life. It has eased the stress of uncertainty, supported my mental well-being, and helped me provide more consistently for my children. This opportunity has also helped me grow my own vision, The She Voice, where I support women to use storytelling and communication skills to create income and build more stable futures.
I am deeply grateful to Cameras For Girls, The donors in The Creators monthly giving program, and especially Tiffany, for believing in me, investing in my voice, and opening a door that has changed my life and the lives of my children.”

Hire Our Students or Graduates
Work with trained young women for:
Event photography
NGO field storytelling
Photo essays
Social media content
Campaign photography
Community interviews
Communications support
We encourage all opportunities to be paid, clearly scoped, and respectful of each student’s time and skill.
Partner on Ethical Storytelling Projects
Our students are trained to tell stories with dignity, consent, and care. If your organization needs photography or storytelling from the field, we can help connect you with emerging women storytellers who understand their communities and contexts. They understand the importance of informed consent, and working with your team and the people at the heart of your programs, to collect their stories, and take their photos through a participatory lens and not one that is harmful or feeds into colonial narratives and stereotypes.
Sponsor Paid Work Placements
One of the biggest barriers after training is the gap between learning and earning. By sponsoring a paid placement, you help a Cameras For Girls graduate gain real-world experience, earn income, build her portfolio, and move closer to long-term financial independence.
You can also support this work by joining The Creators, our monthly giving community that helps create paid pathways for young women after they complete their training.
