Our 2025 Uganda 4-day workshop experience

In 2025, thanks to support from the Estée Lauder Beautiful Forces Grant, we were able to scale our program from 15 students to 60—our largest cohort to date. This remarkable growth was made possible through the addition of a new academic partner, Cavendish University, whose beautiful facilities provided the perfect backdrop for our training.

We also strengthened our community ties by working with two NGO partners, Concern For The Girl Child and Wezesha Impact, ensuring our students not only learned in the classroom but also engaged directly with the communities they seek to serve.

This year was a milestone for Cameras For Girls, showing how the right partnerships and support can multiply opportunities for young women pursuing careers in media and storytelling.
